Support women in Pakistan
Torrential rains have ravaged more than 72% of Pakistan. More than 1,100 people have lost their lives.
Most victims of natural disasters are the poor, and particularly women.
The recent climate-changed floods in Pakistan have shown that the country is no exception. Heavy monsoon rains since June have left up to one third of the country under water, affecting 33 million of the country’s estimated 240 million inhabitants. Some 6.4 million people are estimated to need of assistance.
Women, girls, and women with disabilities face the biggest challenges in such disasters, including access to humanitarian assistance. Furthermore, the needs and vulnerabilities of women and girls are often distinct during disasters.
Together with our partners, UN Women are providing immediate relief including shelter, food, medical aid, and sanitary products.
Your donation can ensure access to essential services including legal aid, counselling, and other supports to protect and empower women in the face of disaster.
Help UN Women directly support Pakistan’s women and girls today.
